I have a generous rescheduling policy for my clients which is designed to balance incentivizing a client's therapeutic progress and maintaining a sustainable small business. A client's designated hour is their financial responsibility; therefore, clients agree to pay for their appointment, for the
duration of the therapeutic arrangement, regardless of whether you choose to attend your session. Clients are subject to a generous rescheduling policy, allowing them to "make up" for cancelled appointments during the week before, the same week, or the week after the date of their absence, if schedules align. As your therapist, I will make every effort to find a time for you.
Clients are allotted one "free" cancellation per year for each session attended per week (e.g., a client who is on a treatment plan of two sessions per week is allotted two "free" cancellations per year). Clients are never asked to pay for sessions that the therapist cancels due to emergencies or other out-of-office dates. As your therapist, I will make every effort to alert my clients of planned out-of-office times in advance.
In order to reschedule a session, clients must provide 24-hours' notice to avoid the full sessionfee being charged by the end of the day of the cancelled appointment. A late cancellation or no-show will result in being unable to reschedule the missed appointment and bearing the responsibility of the full session fee.
